Dr. Jill Mogil

As a low vision optometrist, Dr Jill Mogil fosters her patients with dedication and compassion. “My heart goes out to those who have lost the ability to do the normal activities that they love, like reading, watching TV, recognizing faces, and driving. I am very much aware that vision loss often leads to loss of independence, depression and reduced quality of life. Low vision glasses and other devices give my patients the confidence and freedom to perform the tasks that they need, regain their self-sufficiency and improve their quality of life.”
“I am honored to be a part of the team of doctors that include optometrists, ophthalmologists and retina specialists who provide a holistic patient-first approach.”

Dr. Mogil earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri St. Louis College of Optometry. She is a fellow of the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists (IALVS), a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), the AOA Vision Rehabilitative Advocacy Network, the Missouri Optometric Association (MOA), St Louis Optometric Society and the Ocular Nutrition Society.

She has trained in new treatments for low vision and provides specialty optical devices to help patients who have decreased vision due to macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy or other eye diseases.
Dr. Mogil is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and is married with four adult children. She likes hiking and traveling, and also enjoys working with lenses behind the camera as a part time documentary filmmaker.
Dr Mogil’s earnest commitment is to “help people function better, doing the things they love to do.”
Anyone with low vision is invited to call for a complimentary telephone consultation.
